“Boyfriend for the Night”: Bryce Bowyn’s Lustful, Bad Boy Smash
October 6, 2020 (WASHINGTON, D.C.) -- Bryce Bowyn wants more than just a ride on your motorbike in his latest single “Boyfriend for the Night.”
Coated in his signature ’80s pop sheen, “Boyfriend for the Night’s” twinkling synths and doo-wap harmonies are as dreamy as only Bryce can deliver. Produced by fellow queer indie star Zach Benson, Bowyn’s latest single is a journey in loneliness and desire.
“When you’re brokenhearted, part of the recovery process is finding how to connect again on an intimate level. For me, I missed having someone I was passionate about. Someone to live adventurously with,” says Bryce “So every night, I would go out and find that little spark with someone new and run with it, but it would always burn out by the next morning. Turns out recreating the past was not a recipe for success.”
“Boyfriend for the Night” is available now for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and Soundcloud. This is his third release following “Nostalgic” and “Just Love Me.” From his explosive performance at Pittsburgh’s 2019 PrideFest to his recent, innovative virtual performances, Bryce brings the house down with his infectious melodies with high-octane spectacle.

BIO
Bryce Bowyn is a dance-pop singer-songwriter based in Washington, DC. With his anthemic electropop and magnetic visuals, Bryce is ready to bring his brand of uncensored, unfiltered dynamism to the pop music forefront.
With songs like Nostalgic, a club-ready ode to romanticizing young heartbreak, and Just Love Me, a smash inspired by the beauty of queer nightlife entertainers, Bryce blends late 2000s pop with astute and wry lyricism. As an audiovisual artist, the singer pairs his tracks with esoteric and evocative music videos. Nostalgic’s demonic, skin-crawling bloodbath and Cabana Boy’s sultry, mermaid-themed saga provide a dark edge to Bowyn’s sweet, addictive melodies.
Pulling inspiration from pop legends like Lady Gaga and Britney Spears, Bryce's live performances combine his infectious melodies with high-octane spectacle. From his explosive performance at Pittsburgh’s 2019 PrideFest to the critically praised show BRYCE: Hydrogen Blonde (Capital Fringe 2016), Bryce Bowyn brings the house down with tight choreography, sexy dancers, and dazzling theatrics.
